Phylagen is digitizing the global microbiome

Reimagining Global Transparency

In 2013, the Rana Plaza factory in Bangladesh collapsed, killing more than 1,000 people inside. The tragedy entangled many large retail brands who were criticized in global headlines for making their products under such negligent conditions.

Here at Phylagen, we are working to ensure that things are made where they should be made. We aspire to create a more transparent world, a world in which we know where our stuff comes from.

Unlocking the Microbiome

When you hear the term ‘microbiome’, you may think of the human gut. But microbes are everywhere around us. The genetic information encoded in microbes creates unique fingerprints for every object and place in the world with applications that extend far beyond human health.

At Phylagen, we are passionate about leveraging the environmental microbiome in novel ways, and we strive to unlock the power of this information by revealing new insights to brands, governments, farmers and suppliers, and consumers.
